The Innis Wall Sculpture

$749

A wall object that does not decorate the wall so much as become part of it. Two sections. Concealed hardware. The join disappears once placed.

Charring is an ancient preservation technique. Here it becomes design intelligence. The pine surface post-burn is the pine surface at its most honest — grain amplified, texture deepened, nothing concealed. The geometry is consequence, not composition.

Why It's Here

Most wall objects ask you to look at them. This one asks you to look at the wall differently. It doesn't sit against the surface — it enters it. In a dark room, that distinction is everything.

Why this piece works.

Charring is the material's final form.

The burn does not damage the pine. It completes it. Grain amplified, surface deepened, nothing left to conceal. The finish is honest because there is nothing to hide.

It becomes the wall.

Two sections. Concealed hardware. The join disappears once placed. The object does not sit against the wall — it enters it. The room absorbs it.

Geometry as consequence.

The angles were not chosen for visual interest. They were cut where the material demanded. There is no aesthetic decision that was not also a structural one.
